Is This Heart Disease Myth Slowly Killing You?
Dear Reader,
I have some news that might make you very angry.
I have proof that mainstream medicine is needlessly allowing more than 2,300 people to die of heart disease every single day.
Mothers, fathers, husbands, wives… perhaps someone you love. Someday, maybe even you.
But one forward-thinking cardiologist has discovered an all-natural solution that has halted and reversed heart disease in many of his patients. It even allowed some people to take themselves off the transplant list!
Of course, the mainstream would probably prefer you don’t hear about this. Read on...

10 Ways Your Morning Cup Of Coffee Will Keep You Healthy
If you rely on coffee to get through the day, or just to get it started, you might be lacking sleep or something in your diet. Nobody, after all, is ever going to mistake coffee for health food.
But like wine, chocolate and popcorn, coffee has joined the ranks of unlikely foods with health benefits. An increasing body of research has found that drinking coffee—even four or more cups per day in some instances—provides health benefits. And a 13-year study of 402,260 AARP members conducted by the National Cancer Institute, which was published May 17 in the "New England Journal of Medicine," concluded that devoted coffee drinkers were associated with a reduced risk of early death by up to 16 percent.

THE ONE WORST FOOD TO EAT IF YO WANT TO LOOSE YOUR BELLY FAT?
What Is The Absolute WORST Food Of All Time To Eat If You Want To loose Your Belly Fat Fast?
Is it perhaps white bread? Could it be French fries? Pasta and cheese? Lard? Cheese-stuffed crust on a pizza? (Honestly? Do we really need cheese in the crust as well?)
Hmm... although all of these foods are at the top of my "bad" list, they aren't the WORST.
Nope. The worst food ever is ... drum roll please ... any food that you can't stop eating. (That's so important take a moment to read that sentence again.) I'm talking about your personal "trigger foods." You know, that one food that you'll eat until you make yourself sick.
For me it's ice cream. For others it's chocolate or something crunchy and salty like chips.
If it's in my house ... I'll come up with dozens of excuses on why it's okay to eat it. "I'll workout extra hard tomorrow." Or, "I ate really healthy today so it's okay to cheat." Or, "I don't care ... give me that darn ice cream scooper!" =)
The key to getting (and keeping a flat belly) is recognizing these trigger foods and keeping them OUT OF YOUR HOUSE.
Really. This tip alone can save you thousands of calories every week.
So today's take home message is this: make a list of your top three trigger foods and "send them packin'."

Eat This Amazing Snack And Watch The Weight Drop Off
HISTORY OF BILTONG
Biltong is a kind of cured meat that originated in South Africa. Many different types of meat are used to produce it, ranging frombeef through game meats to fillets of ostrich from commercial farms. It is typically made from raw fillets of meat cut into strips following the grain of the muscle, or flat pieces sliced across the grain. It is similar to beef jerky in that they are both spiced, dried meats, but differ in their typical ingredients, taste and production process; Read on...

Top 10 Energy Boosters
posted on September 03, 2012 23:46
Eating a balanced diet can help ensure your vitamin and mineral needs are met. But if you still find yourself too pooped to pop, you could have a slight magnesium deficiency.
This mineral is needed for more than 300 biochemical reactions in the body, including breaking down glucose into energy. So when levels are even a little low, energy can drop.
In a study done at the Department of Agriculture's Human Nutrition Research Center in Grand Forks, N.D., women with magnesium deficiencies had higher heart rates and required more oxygen to do physical tasks than they did after their magnesium levels were restored. In essence, their bodies were working harder which, over a period of time, can leave you feeling depleted.Read on...
18 Top Weight Loss Foods
1. Almonds
These filling, snack-able bites can help keep your blood sugar steady. A study from the
2. Apples
An apple a day can keep weight gain at bay, finds a study from Penn State University at University Park. People who chomped an apple before a pasta meal ate fewer calories overall than those who had a different snack. Credit their high-fiber status—4 to 5 g each—which fills you up. Plus, the antioxidants in apples may help prevent metabolic syndrome, a condition marked by excess belly fat or an "apple shape."
3. Black beans
According to data from the National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey, bean eaters weigh less and have slimmer middles. Beans are super fat fighters because they contain the ideal combination of fat-busting nutrients—soluble and insoluble fiber, protein, and a type of fat-burning carb called resistant starch.
4. Cauliflower
Cauliflower is also a vitamin C standout: Just ½ cup nets you 36 percent of your daily needs. Plus, this cruciferous veggie is a proven cancer fighter—it's been linked to a lower risk of colorectal, lung and stomach cancers. And like almost all veggies, cauliflower is low in calories while still offering filling fiber. This veggie is also super versatile and can make a great replacement for heavier foods. Try cauliflower roasted until crispy as a side dish to burgers or sandwiches, mashed up with a little butter to mimic mashed potatoes, or pureed and added to soups instead of cream.
5. Cinnamon
Everything is nice about this spice. Just ½ teaspoon each day can help control your blood sugar and prevent the post meal insulin spike that can trigger your body to store fat rather than burn it. You can also use cinnamon to bring out the natural sweetness in foods, rather than adding calories from sugar. All spices help you trim down when used to add flavor to foods instead of oil, butter and calorie-laden condiments.
6. Coffee
Raise your mug to higher metabolism! The caffeine in coffee can raise your resting metabolic rate by about 15 percent, and the effect can last up to four hours—that adds up to 30 to 50 calories burned per day. Plus, people who sip 3 to 4 cups of regular or decaf coffee per day are 30 percent less prone to type 2 diabetes. Chlorogenic acid, found in coffee, may help prevent insulin resistance, which can lead to obesity and diabetes. This is if you take coffee without sugar or milk.
7. Cottage cheese
One half cup low fat cottage cheese offers up 14 g protein for only 81 calories. Studies show that protein can help you feel more satisfied throughout the day, which can help you keep your calories in check without feeling deprived. According to a study from Purdue University in West Lafayette, Indiana, women who ate more protein (30 percent of total daily calories) kept more lean muscle, which revs your metabolism, and reported greater perceived satisfaction while cutting calories than women who ate less protein (18 percent of calories).
8. Eggs
Women on a low-calorie diet who ate an egg with whole wheat toast each morning lost twice as many kilograms as those who had a bagel breakfast with the same number of calories but no eggs, a study from Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge reports. Egg protein is filling, so you eat less later in the day. And don't be afraid of yolks—they won't harm your heart.
9. Garlic
Overweight people who sprinkled their food with garlic spice lost an average of 10Kg in six months, compared to only a 1Kg loss in the control group. Strong flavors like garlic may make food more enjoyable so you feel fuller faster.
10. Lentils
Lentils are a bona fide belly flattener. They're high in protein and soluble fiber and nutrients that stabilize blood sugar levels. Eating them helps prevent insulin spikes that cause your body to create excess fat, especially in the abdominal area. There are many varieties of lentils, but red and yellow cook fastest (in about 15 to 20 minutes). Add cooked lentils to pasta sauce for a heartier dish. Their mild flavor blends right in, and because they're high in protein, you can skip meat altogether.
11. Olive oil
Like avocados, olive oil has healthy fat that increases satiety, taming your appetite. But that's hardly its only slimming feature. Research shows it has anti-inflammatory properties, and chronic inflammation in the body is linked to metabolic syndrome. Drizzle your salad with olive oil and you'll increase the antioxidant power of your veggies, a study published in the British Journal of Nutrition notes.
12. Parmesan
Women who had one serving of whole milk or cheese daily were less likely to gain weight over time, a study in The American Journal of Clinical Nutrition finds. Whole dairy may have more conjugated linoleic acid, which might help your body burn fat. Parmesan is so flavorful, it's easier to stick to one serving.
13. Pears
Pears deliver a dose of fiber (about 5.5 grams per medium-sized fruit), which helps keep you satisfied long after you eat them. But that's not where their fat-fighting power ends. A Brazilian research team found that a group of women who included pears in their diet each day lost more weight than the group who included oat cookies—even though the pears and the oat cookies had the same number of calories. Slice pears up and dip them into nonfat plain yogurt for a snack, dice them and add them to salads, or poach them for dessert.
14. Portobello mushrooms
Portobello’s are naturally low in calories and have a "meaty" texture. Use them in place of beef in savory dishes to cut fat (and calories). One cup of Portobello slices contains fewer than 20 calories and virtually no fat. Chop them up finely and replace half of the lean ground beef in your burger, meatballs or meat loaf with mushrooms to cut the fat and calories. Or slice up a Portobello and toss it into a stir-fry in place of protein to reduce the calories without losing flavor!
15. Red bell peppers
These sweet veggies are super sources of vitamin C, and adequate intake of the nutrient has been associated with having a smaller waist. Plus, C has been shown to bolster immunity and prevent cell damage. Slice up peppers and toss them into soups, sandwiches or salads. Just half a pepper offers up 75 milligrams of C, the recommended daily dose.
16. Tomatoes
Whenever you munch, your body releases a hormone called cholecystokinin, which tightens the valve between your stomach and your intestine. As a result, CCK boosts feelings of fullness—making you less apt to overeat. Tomatoes contain oligofructose, a fiber that helps sustain the effects of CCK in your stomach. Bonus: Lycopene, a compound found in tomatoes, has been shown to protect you against sunburn and may help reduce the risk of certain cancers.
17. Vinegar
Don't be shy; drizzle away. Vinegar provides a simple, practically calorie-free way to add flavor to a wide variety of foods (it's great in anything from soup to sliced strawberries), and research indicates it might also increase feeling of satisfaction after a meal. According to a 2005 study in the European Journal of Clinical Nutrition, healthy volunteers fed white bread along with vinegar had lower blood sugar and insulin responses and felt fuller than volunteers fed only white bread. Lower insulin levels can prevent an abrupt drop in blood sugar, which would otherwise trigger hunger. And feeling fuller on the same amount of food can help you stick to your healthy eating plan.
18. Yogurt
Dietitians often refer to plain yogurt as the perfect food, and for good reason: With its trifecta of carbs, protein and fat, it can stave off hunger by keeping blood sugar levels steady. In a study from the University of Tennessee at Knoxville, those on a low-calorie diet that included yogurt lost 61 percent more fat overall and 81 percent more belly fat than those on a similar plan but without yogurt.

DIRTY LIE ABOUT RED MEAT REVEALED!
This is no joke. A Danish study recently found that women who ate
more butter and full-fat dairy products gained less weight around the waist
than those on a low-fat diet. And those who ate more red meat had smaller
waistlines, too. The reason? The fat and protein minimize carbohydrates and reduce
insulin resistance. (Maybe Dr. Atkins wasn’t so wrong, after all.) Read on...

How to Lose Weight Fast
If you burn 500 more calories than you eat every day for a week, you should lose about 0.5 to 1kg.
If you want to lose weight faster, you'll need to eat less and exercise more.
For instance, if you take in 1,050 to 1,200 calories a day, and exercise for one hour per day, you could lose 1.5 to 2.5kg in the first week, or more if you weigh more than 115kg. It's very important not to cut calories any further - that's dangerous.
Limiting salt and starches may also mean losing more weight at first - but that's mostly fluids, not fat.
"When you reduce sodium and cut starches, you reduce fluids and fluid retention, which can result in up to 2.5kg of fluid loss when you get started. read on...

WHY YOU JUST CAN'T LOOSE FAT
Diet and Weight Loss Tutorial
When we eat, our body converts digestible carbohydrates into blood sugar (glucose), our main source of energy. Our blood sugar level can affect how hungry and how energetic we feel, both important factors when we are watching how we eat and exercise. It also determines whether we burn fat or store it.
Our pancreas creates a hormone called insulin that transports blood sugar into our body's cells where it is used for energy. When we eat refined grains that have had most of their fiber stripped away, sugar, or other carbohydrate-rich foods that are quickly processed into blood sugar, the pancreas goes into overtime to produce the insulin necessary for all this blood sugar to be used for energy.
This insulin surge tells our body that plenty of energy is readily available and that it should stop burning fat and start storing it.
However, the greater concern with the insulin surge is not that it tells our body to start storing fat. Whatever we eat and don't burn up eventually gets turned into fat anyway.
The greater concern is that the insulin surge causes too much blood sugar to be transported out of our blood and these results in our blood sugar and insulin levels dropping below normal.Read on...

Loose Fat and Gain Muscle
AFTER! BEFORE!
Losing weight should not just be about decreasing the number of pounds that you weigh, it should also be about making your body healthier and leaner. If you want to succeed in meeting your weight loss goals, it is key that you follow the right advice and suggestions to help you achieve your goal weight. Here are a few tips and tricks to help you achieve that goal and be on your way to a healthy physique and appearance.
1. Start a fitness regime that includes both aerobic and anaerobic exercises. Doing a variety of aerobic and anaerobic workouts will ensure muscle confusion which will work your body harder. In addition, due to muscle memory, it is beneficial to mix up your exercise routine to keep stimulating your body, which will ensure you achieve better results. If you approach your routine with intensity and seriousness, there is no doubt you will achieve results much faster than you might have believed.
2. Use full body shots rather than scales to monitor your progress. Scales can often be very unreliable and do not give you a clear indication of your true progress. However, a full body shot will give you a more qualitative yet reliable viewpoint on how you have been progressing and how effectively you have been targeting your problem areas. In addition, if your scale is inaccurate and shows you a weight that is much higher than your true weight, it can be extremely demotivating to someone who is just beginning a weight loss plan.
NEW TASTY LOW-CARB MEALS
3. Decrease your refined carbohydrate intake and increase your fiber and protein intake. This a surefire diet that will help promote weight loss and strong muscle growth. Refined carbohydrates do not provide a lot of nutrients and should be consumed in extreme moderation. Conversely, diets heavy in protein and fiber have been shown to promote weight loss and to be healthy diets to follow.
4. Join a local weight loss group for support and motivation. The connection and emotional bond you can make with other people experiencing something similar can be a great motivator for you in your weight loss surgery. By leveraging a support group, you can get feedback and support from like minded people which will give you the extra push you need when you are feeling weak. Although some people are shy to join a group like this at first, it can be an effective tool for people to use.
YOUR NEW HEALTH SILHOUETTE!
5. Start taking appropriate dietary supplements. There are many excellent supplements that you can take to improve your nutritional intake and build muscle. Many people recommend taking a whey protein powder immediately after a workout to maximize results. However, before taking any dietary supplement, it is crucial to read the label carefully and consult your doctor to ensure the supplements you are taking are healthy and well suited to you.
6. Stay away from weight loss pills. If weight loss was as simple as taking a pill, everyone would be at their optimal weight. Unfortunately, weight loss pills are often loaded with caffeine, can be very dangerous and are also ineffective and unsustainable for people to take. If you are trying to lose weight, avoid the temptation of easy fixes like weight loss pills and take a healthier, longer term perspective towards achieving your weight loss goals.

7. Ensure you exercise consistently. If you are exercising with proper intensity at least 3 times a week, you will make significant progress in achieving your weight loss goals. Many people begin working out vigorously when they first begin a weight loss program. However, a few weeks later many of these people give up on their exercise plans due to lack of commitment or energy. Quitting on your exercise program is doing a disservice to yourself and will only take you further away from achieving your weight loss dreams.
8. Avoid negative influences and people and focus on the positive. Negative people in your life can be demoralizing and do not give you the support that is necessary to be successful. If you fill your life with positive influences, you will feel more secure in your weight loss goals and will be more likely to follow through. In addition, leveraging your most positive and influential friends can be highly motivating and can help you achieve success in achieving your goals
. WINNING BACK YOUR LIFE!
It is clear that weight loss is a topic that is on many people's minds and there are many potential solutions that people can use to lose weight. However, achieving one's weight loss goals can be extremely difficult and many people struggle to achieve the goals they have set. By following the advice presented above, you could be on your way to having a much healthier body that is closer to the size that you desire.
